A is the first fighter; B is the second. Enter round scores before deductions, then any referee deductions separately. Apply an announced deduction consistently on all three cards. Blank rounds are not counted as draws. Switching to three rounds keeps rounds four and five stored until you clear scores.

How two rounds won can still produce a draw
Take this invented three-round card: A wins rounds one and two 10–9, then loses round three 8–10. A totals 10 + 10 + 8 = 28. B totals 9 + 9 + 10 = 28. Counting rounds alone would miss the draw. Use the example button to reproduce the calculation on all three cards.
Change the last round to 9–10: the total becomes 29–28 for A. Now apply a one-point deduction to A in any round: that card returns to 28–28. These are arithmetic examples, not assessments of any real bout.
Read each judge’s card separately
Do not pool the points from all judges. Two cards for A and one for B produce a split decision for A. Two for A and a drawn card produce a majority decision for A. One for A, one for B and one draw produce a split draw.
Scoring references and limits
The ABC scoring clarification describes round-by-round judging and deductions. This calculator performs addition; it cannot decide whether the action warrants a 10–8. Confirm the rules adopted by the commission overseeing the event.
The August 2026 ABC document states a requested November 2027 implementation date for its new changes. A newly published rules document is not proof that every event already uses its changes.
